. . . liminal space, deep inner change without knowing why, a season of “what the heck is happening to me and what comes next? Butterfly Mush by Melanie Weidner, artist and essayist.
Liminal time . . . a transitional stage . . . Most of us have experienced this in our personal lives: times that are rich in process and promise and demand patience as our becoming works itself out. At such periods, when our inner lives are the richest, most active, and most productive, others may look at us and think we are doing nothing.
These days, we’re in liminal time nationally and even globally. Change - evolution – is in the air . . . We see the need for adjustment, for fresh outlooks and productive, innovative approaches and interventions on every front. This process of change at the macro-level requires the same patience and commitment that such times require at the personal level. Liminal time is a time of hope, not despair. It is a time to face ourselves and our world with honesty and courage and in a spirit of adventure. My friend Rob Rossel has some thoughts on this as well…

Right now it is important for aware people to do everything in their power to make sure that this transformation of our political system takes place. We are all wise to want to stay informed and do everything in our power to make sure we make this transition. I think nothing is more important right now.
The economic crisis may be the thing that will create the conditions that allow us to finally transform our political system and find some vision and
courage in our political leadership. We have the potential of being a part of that transformation.
